About the Blogger

Reverend J. Austin Powell is a man who has devoted his life to serving God as an ordained minister of the Gospel, and is a patriot who has devoted his career to serving his country. However, his job is not where he finds his identity.  He is a husband and homeschooling father of two girls;  he and his wife are certified foster parents and they have placed and/or hosted more than 30 foreign exchange students from around the world.

Rev. Powell is the Virginia State Coordinator for ParentalRights.org and was the first Virginia State Director for the Convention of States Project. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland, with a Bachelor’s degree in Government & Politics, and received his Masters at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.

He is currently employed a Special Agent for the Federal Legislative Branch and was previously an investigator conducting undercover operations for the FBI related to counter-terrorist and counter-espionage efforts. He has also served as a uniformed Police Officer in Colorado and for the Federal government.

On a number of occasions, he has sustained injuries in the performance of his duties for his Country, but gladly continues to serve and defend Freedom and Liberty for the Citizens of the United States of America.  Researching the Principles that formed the Foundation of our great Republic is his passion and he desires to share what he has learned on this very important topic with others.

He may be contacted for speaking engagements at: MissionLiberty@gmail.com
